DIEU–THAO is a dance artist, choreographer and educator with a strong academic background and formal teaching experience, trained in the United States.
Upon returning to Vietnam, she has continued to build her artistic career through collaborations with diverse international projects. These include choreographic works in the U.S., creative partnerships with foreign artists in Vietnam, and arts education initiatives that connect Vietnam with international organizations.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dance in the United States, with a minor in Psychology.
Her education included university-courses in Dance Pedagogy, Kinesiology, Injury Prevention, Dance History and Cultural Theory, among others.
She continuously learns to update her pedagogical skills through both research and training.
Courses and classes Dieu–Thao teaches: Modern Dance, the Horton Technique, Contemporary Dance, Floorwork, Creative Tools & Processes, Improvisation, Movement Exploration, etc.
EDUCATION STATEMENT:
"I believe education is a vital foundation for a child’s well-rounded development—and within that, arts education plays a special role in nurturing children’s physical health, emotional well-being, and creative thinking in a harmonious way.
To fulfill that mission, the process of arts education needs to be thoughtfully constructed, with enough depth and intentionality to match different age groups and learning needs.
As an educator, teaching quality and long-term sustainability are always my top priorities, carefully developed from formal training in dance pedagogy, psychology, and movement science (kinesiology).
As someone who had the opportunity of accessing the arts from a young age, I deeply understand the long-lasting values that dance can offer—not only as a potential career path, but also as a means to grow and evolve as a person.
From expressive abilities, confidence in communication, and teamwork skills, to artistic sensibility and emotional depth—these are all qualities that have been nurtured through my own journey with the arts. Even if one does not pursue a professional path in the arts, these capacities remain a valuable part of life’s toolkit."

Leadership experience with international students:
For 3 years, she served as a mentor and guide for students from over 20 countries, supporting their adjustment to U.S. college life and personal development.
She was an arts ambassador for 4 years, trained in child safety and teaching methods while working in U.S. summer programs for 3 years. She has also led the formation of dance communities for both American and international students.
